Cyprus Government Exams Results: Where They're Published and What They Mean
After each exam of the annual cycle, results are announced by the Examinations Service and successful candidates are ranked in lists by performance. This page explains where to look, how to read your score, and what follows — whether you passed or not.
Where and when results are announced
- In the “Ενημέρωση → Αποτελέσματα” (Updates → Results) section of the Examinations Service website (epd.moec.gov.cy), usually a few weeks after each exam.
- The lists of successful candidates used for appointments are maintained by the Public Service Commission (psc.gov.cy).
- Candidates are also informed of their score individually, in the way each announcement specifies.
How to read your score
Scores undergo statistical processing and are published to three decimal places. You pass with an overall score of at least 50% and at least 40% in each part.
Your rank matters as much as the pass mark: appointments are made from the ranked lists in order of performance, so two candidates who both “passed” can have very different real prospects of appointment.
If you passed: next steps
- Keep your certificate of success — as a rule it is valid for positions announced in the following calendar year (1 Jan – 31 Dec).
- Watch the vacancy announcements (Official Gazette, Public Service Commission) and apply to those whose schemes of service you meet.
- Prepare for any further stages of each procedure — e.g. a Special Written Examination or interview, where provided.
If you didn't pass: making the next cycle count
The exam repeats every year, and many successful candidates have previous attempts behind them. What matters is diagnosis: identify the section where you fell under 40% or lost time, and work on it with targeted, timed practice until the next cycle.
Frequently asked questions
When are the Cyprus Government Exams results published?
There is no single deadline — as a rule they are announced a few weeks after each exam, separately per scale, on the Examinations Service website.
What does the three-decimal score mean?
Scores are statistically processed and published to three decimals so that ranking in the lists of successful candidates is unambiguous.
How long is the certificate of success valid?
As a rule, for positions announced within the following calendar year (1 January to 31 December). If you are not appointed in that period, a new participation is needed.
